Keristen Holmes joined KTBS 3 news in October of 2012 the East Texas Bureau Chief/Multi-media Reporter.
Keristen grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas. At UCA, she worked as a reporter, photographer, weather anchor and anchor for UCA News 6.
Keristen’s love for reporting goes all the way back to the sixth grade, where she was hand-picked by teachers to be her school’s first student announcement news anchor. It was then, that Keristen decided journalism was the career for her.
Following her college graduation, Keristen gained professional experience with major corporations such as Bank of America and Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. But, she is a self-professed “news nerd” and decided to leave it all behind to follow her passion of journalism. After 3 years in corporate America, she took a position as a reporter for 40/29 News in Fayetteville and Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Keristen has fallen in love with the Ark-La-Tex area and can’t decide which she loves more, the people or the food. In her free time, you can find her at involved at church and enjoying the sights, sounds, and FOOD that the Ark-La-Tex has to offer. Feel free to email your story ideas to her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
