The 1st Annual Steppin' Up For Foster Care 5K Walk/Run will be held this coming Saturday morning at 8:30 at the Arthur Teague Parkway Boat Launch in Bossier City.

All proceeds raised will be used by the Northwest Louisiana Foster & Adoptive Parent Association to fund activities for children in care, funding that was cut by the Louisiana Legislature.

Entry fees are $5/person and $25/family.

On site registration will be held at 7:30 a.m.

The NW LA Foster & Adoptive Parent Association works in part to raise awareness of the need for more families to provide safe, loving homes for children in need.
