Water has become an issue at the forefront for city and parish leaders and most importantly, homeowners. In this segment, Sonja Bailes and Stephan Mayer update us on South Shreveport and Caddo Parish with a report from Erin Buchanan and an interview with local leaders who can help put the current situation into a better perspective.

The school board superintendent has a lot to say about how the school district is progressing. In this segment, Angela interviews superintendents of Bossier, Webster and DeSoto Parishes to see what changes are in store for this school year.

School districts everywhere are struggling to do more with less. In this segment, Angela finds out how Marshall and Texarkana school districts are coming up with creative ways to overcome problems.

Providing our children with the best education requires a partnership between schools and the community. In this final segment, we asked Caddo Superintendent Dr. Gerald Dawkins to join us again to share his thoughts on the subject.

ArkLaTex In Focus: The Future Of Our History

Local historian Gary Joiner takes us on a walk down memory lane concerning Shreveport's past. We also visit The Oakland Cemetery which is the resting place for most of Shreveport's founding fathers and several of its more colorful characters.

We show you all about vital tax breaks offered as incentives to revamp older buildings downtown and introduce you to developers taking advantage of them. Also, Shreveport City Councilman Jeff Efferson discusses the new ordinance extending the waiting period between the time someone applies for a permit to demolish an historic building.

The downtown area is attracting people from the Ark-La-Tex and even across the country. Downtown Development Director Liz Swaine discusses one of the best ways to check out the scenery on a downtown trolley which will take you from one hot spot to the next. They run every third Thursday of the month. We also discuss how the movie and art industries have expanded and helped with tourism and Shreveport's downtown development.

We thought this would be a good time to revisit Jermariua's long journey to signing day. This time nothing has been left on the editing room floor. This is the incredible occasionally painful story of what its like to be recruited by some of most successful football programs in America.

In the summer of 2008, Jermariua has just finished tying a national high school record for sacks- 26. This segment shows how the recruiting process started to heat up.

This segments deals with Jermairua's senior year that did not disappoint recruiters.

This segment goes back to the January with signing day close. LSU brought Jarmariua in one more time and laid it on thick along with a personal tour of Les Miles' home.

Signing day got much harder as some of the greatest universities in America with their beautiful campuses and great coaches made their appeals to get Jermariua to be part of their program.

Another trip to Gainsville, Florida made the University of Florida a top contender which made the decision process harder for Jermariua and his mother.

In this segment, Rick interviews Jermariua's mother, Gwen Rosco about the latest on her son's progress as an LSU Tiger football player.

Rick gets Gwen Rosco's final thoughts about the journey she and her son have made through the recruiting and signing process.
