Scattered Storms on Sunday
POSTED: 8:38 am CDT July 25, 2010The remnants of Tropical Depression Bonnie have moved onshore in southeast Louisiana, and are producing heavy rain. This area of low pressure will head to the northwest today, and bring lots of moisture into our area. This will cause showers and storms this afternoon, especially in eastern sections of the ArkLaTex. Another area of low pressure system is spinning in Texas, and this will cause a chance for showers and storms in western sections of the area today. So a 40% chance for rain remains in the forecast this afternoon, with highs in the low to mid 90s.Showers and storms are likely on Monday and Tuesday before we dry out and warm up for the end of the week.
