POSTED: 8:50 am CDT September 5, 2010Temperatures fell to the 50s and 60s Sunday morning, with clear skies and low humidity. This afternoon, highs will be near 90 under sunny skies and light winds. By tonight through Monday morning. humidity will be back and that means that temperatures are going to be slightly warmer than this morning, mainly in the id 60s. On Labor Day afternoon, highs will be in the low 90s with a slight chance for showers and storms.A low pressure system is taking shape in the southern Gulf of Mexico, near the Bay of Campeche, and the National Hurricane Center is saying that there is a 60% chance that this will develop into a tropical disturbance over the next 48 hours. This storm will move to the north and by Tuesday and Wednesday, it will bring some rain to our area, especially in east Texas. Some rain could be heavy at times.Stay tuned over the next couple of days for all of the latest updates.
