Slight Chance for Rain on Labor Day
Weather Update
POSTED: 9:10 pm CDT September 5, 2010There was a hint of fall in the air this weekend, with low humidity and cool overnight lows, but our typical September weather is back beginning on Labor Day. Partly cloudy and humid with highs in the low 90s and a slight chance for afternoon storms on Monday, mainly south of Interstate 20.An area of low pressure in the southern Gulf of Mexico and the northern Bay of Campeche could develop into a tropical depression over the next 24 hours. This low will move to the north over the next 48 hours, bringing heavy rain to south Texas on Monday, and to the ArkLaTex on Tuesday and Wednesday. The main track of the low will be to the west of our area, which means that the best chance for rain will be in east Texas. However, rain chances will remain likely Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90.Stay with KTBS.com for all of the latest updates.
