Tattoo Industry Thrives on Friday The 13th
James Clements of Fortune & Glory Tattoo Parlor in Bossier City started the day with a long line of anxious customers.Many tattoo shops across the country offer $13 tattoos on Friday the 13th. It's one of the busiest dates for artists everywhere.Clements says he worked in one Texas shop where people lined up around the building wanting inexpensive ink.Each artist created about two dozen designs for the special day. Each design includes the number thirteen.Chris Ward was one of the first customers in line when the doors opened. She and her husband both walked away sporting Friday the 13th tattoos.Clements says he's given as many as forty-six tattoos on a Friday the 13th.The number thirteen may be unlucky for some, but tattoo artists say it's been very lucky for them.
