Police Take Back Streets

Several Arrested In Homer

Homer police officers spent Friday rounding up suspected drug dealers in Operation: Taking Back Our Streets.

Authorities have a list of forty-four people indicted by a grand jury.

Chief Russell Mills says most of them are accused of selling prescription pills.

Mills says Operation: T-BOS is the result of an undercover investigation which started six months ago.

Concerned citizens are being credited for starting the city-wide initiative.

Police say Friday's roundup is just the beginning. Officers plan to keep searching for suspects until all forty-four people are behind bars.
