Man Accused Of Shooting Son-In-Law
A man accused of shooting his son-in-law is in custody.Desoto authorities say Alvis McKinney was nabbed by state police about an hour after he reportedly shot his son-in-law in the back.A state trooper spotted the suspect's Ford pickup truck on highway 84 just west of I-49. He's said to have been extremely intoxicated..The shooting happened on Dawl Road in Carmel.The victim was flown to LSU Hospital with what are described as serious injuries.Investigators say the shooting appears to be the result of an on-going feud. Deputies say they've been called to the residence many times in the past.Investigators say McKinney faces several charges including attempted second degree murder, DWI and driving with a suspended license.
