Tanning Tax

If you hit the tanning bed to help maintain that summer glow, it's now going to cost you more.

On July 1st the tanning tax went into effect. It's part of President Obama's health care reform bill.

Tanning salons are now adding the 10%t tax to the price of your tanning session. The tax does 'not' apply to spray-on tans or creams.

I want to hear your thoughts. Do you tan? If so, will you continue to? How about this new tax, is it fair?

BTW Experts say people who tan indoors had a 74 percent higher risk for melanoma than people who did not frequent tanning salons.

Do statistics like this make you think twice before going to the tanning bed?

Let me hear your thoughts!
