Perry's Visit Coincides With First Day Of Fall Semester

Labor group offers Gov. Perry a mobile home

Texas Governor Rick Perry will host a news conference on the campus of Texas A&M University-Texarkana on Thursday, August 26 at 2:30 p.m. in Eagle Hall, located on the first floor in the recently completed University Center Building at the Bringle Lake campus – 7101 University Ave.

Governor Perry’s visit will represent a historic event. The fall semester begins on this day. In addition, the historic first freshman class will begin classes, along with the welcoming of the first doctoral students.

Governor Perry's speech will include plans for a new K-12 education initiative.

The public is invited to attend.
