WHAT: American Red Cross Health Fair 2012

WHO: Hosted by NSU College of Nursing, Regional Urology, Broadmoor Baptist Church, Medic Pharmacy and American Red Cross Volunteers & Youth
WHY: Offers low cost opportunity for people to keep up with their health. This is a full
blood draw, not a finger-prick. Two blood screening options are available. Both options include a battery of tests, including Cholesterol, thyroid, liver & lipid profiles, glucose levels, CBC counts and more. One option also includes a PSA (prostate cancer screen) for men. There is also a take-home colon cancer screen and flu and pneumonia shots will also be available.
COST: $40 for the regular blood test or $50 for the test with PSA.; take-home Colorectal Cancer Screen - $5.; Flu shots - $25; Pneumonia shots - $30.
OTHER: Participants should fast for 12 hours prior to the tests (water is okay). They also should bring a 45-cent stamp or the money to buy one.
