LSU Shreveport will open an information office on the campus of Bossier Parish Community College. An open house and ribbon cutting is scheduled for this Thursday, September 20th, at 10:30 a.m. in Building D, Room 112. Students will be able to get information to allow for a seamless transfer to LSUS after their time at BPCC. The office will help students with degree and academic planning, transfer equivalencies, LSUS financial aid questions, and any other questions related to gaining admittance to LSUS.
“We’re so happy to be able to offer this face-to-face help to students as they make plans to build upon their BPCC foundation,” said Interim LSUS Chancellor Dr. Paul Sisson. “We’re grateful to our BPCC colleagues for providing us this space and truly value the long-standing BPCC/LSUS partnership.”
The office will be open this fall semester on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Students are encouraged to stop by during these times to discuss their academic future with academic advisors from LSUS.
Various city officials will be in attendance for the open house and ribbon cutting. Representatives from the LSUS Offices of Admissions and Records and Financial Aid Office will also be on hand to answer questions.
