Sheriff's office recieves funds
from assets forfeited in drug cases
The Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Office presented a check today to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $13,366.28, representing funds from properties and monies seized from various drug investigations over the past several months.
Assistant District Attorney Mike Nerren, presented Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington, with the check which represents 60% of the total amounts of vehicles, monies and bank accounts that were seized in eight different narcotics cases.
“These funds are a result of the tenacious work by our dedicated narcotics team we have here at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office,” said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. “It strengthens our resolve to keep drugs away from our children, and the monies will be used to continue to fight illegal drug activity in Bossier Parish.”
