Fighting Crime
POSTED: 6:37 pm CDT September 7, 2010UPDATED: 9:41 am CDT September 8, 2010This year's Shreveport-Bossier National Night Out got a little cooler today. The mayors on both sides of the river announced that the celebration date will be moved to Tuesday, October 5 from 6pm-9pm, instead of the original date of the first Tuesday in August. They cited the cooler weather as the reason for the change. National Night Out encourages crime and drug prevention and strengthens relations between law enforcement and residents. Neighborhoods who want to host block parties can get more info by calling their city hall for more details.
