Police Identify Suspect In Bank Robbery

Shreveport police said Thursday they have identified an Oregon man as the robber of a west side bank earlier this week.

The robber was not wearing a mask and is clearly identifiable in bank security photos.

An arrest warrant issued for Ronald Timothy Hussey, 29, charges him with simple robbery of the CapitalOne bank in the 6100 block of Greenwood Road.

That robbery happened Tuesday afternoon. The robber handed a note to a teller demanding money but did not show a gun. He got an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt.

Hussey’s last known address was in Roseburg, Ore., but he had been staying with an acquaintance in Shreveport. He is believed to have left town, police Sgt. Bill Goodin said.

Hussey is also wanted by Oregon authorities for parole violation warrant, police said.

Anyone with any information on Hussey's whereabouts is asked to call Shreveport police Detective Richard Turpen at 318-673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
