As "Maleficent," Angelina Jolie makes being bad look awfully good.

Disney released a photo of the 37-year-old Oscar winner as the title character in the upcoming movie on Tuesday, and while the image is a little dark, we could see those cheekbones from a mile away.

The film, which is slated for release on March 14, 2014, will tell the classic "Sleeping Beauty" story by focusing on Jolie's Maleficent.

Under the direction of Robert Stromberg, an Oscar-winning production designer making his debut in the director's chair, the movie will examine what made Maleficent put the curse on "Sleeping Beauty's" Aurora when she was just a baby.

The cast also includes Sharlto Copley; Sam Riley; Imelda Staunton; Juno Temple; and Elle Fanning as the cursed princess.

Jolie also serves as executive producer on the film, which will be released in 3-D.
