Family foibles?

Staunch "family values" voters who thought they had another GOP option in Louisiana's U.S. Senate race might want to look away. This could get ugly.

You know that former state supreme court justice from Monroe? The guy who said he was challenging David Vitter? Because Vitter's scandals make him vulnerable to a Democrat in November? Well, he may have some explaining to do himself, thanks to this article in his hometown newspaper.

I can hear the first big debate now. Chet Traylor: "He slept with prostitutes in D.C!". Vitter: "Oh yeah? He sleeps with his stepson's ex!"

Oooooooooooh!

Traylor may try to explain his romantic relationships away. He'll say his first wife wanted out of her first marriage. His stepson's ex decided she was hot for judge. Whatever. It all looks quite messy in the voter's eye.

So does Traylor risk playing the "family values" card? The one ace he thought he had? Turns out to be The Joker.

Note from Gerry: Thanks to JAgan for bringing this story to my attention. He posted it further down the page on the previous Vitter thread. Just wanted to make sure everybody saw it.
