Important information:
If station "A" converts to digital-only at 7:30 a.m., station "A" viewers MUST rescan their sets, at that time, in order to continue receiving station "A" programming.
If stations "B", "C", etc elect to shut down their analog signal and go ‘digital-only' at different times during the day on June 12th - viewers/consumers will need to RESCAN their sets each time (or after ALL) stations complete the transition.

Television as we know it is about to change.
By law, television stations nationwide must switch from the old method of transmitting TV signals known as analog to digital television (DTV) on June 12, 2009.

DTV is an innovative new type of broadcasting technology that delivers movie-quality pictures and sound, more channels,
and even high definition television (HDTV) to consumers with HD television sets.
While the benefits of DTV are remarkable, millions of households risk losing television reception unless they take the easy steps to receive a digital signal.
We're here to assist you throughout the entire transition process.

Have questions we’ve got answers.

Digital TV is available right now in the ArkLaTex and it’s free. If you’ve purchased a HDTV, a television with a digital tuner or a DTV converter box you’re just an antenna away from a High Definition picture and Dolby 5.1 audio.
