Dozens of donors came out to give the gift of life Wednesday.

It was all part of the Remington College blood drive in Shreveport. Donors were also able to sign up to be on the bone marrow registry.

Organizers say their primary focus was on the need for minority donors, especially African Americans, who can help sickle cell patients.

Do you donate blood? If so, how often?
