New Cases Of West Nile Confirmed

Louisiana health officials confirm several new cases of the West Nile Virus.

The State Department of Health and Hospitals documented seven new cases this past week, bringing the statewide total to 19.

18 out of the 19 cases are from East Baton Rouge and Ascension Parishes. There are nine cases of West Nile in each of the parishes. In our area, Red River Parish has recorded one case.
