About Dr.Rozeman

Dr. Phillip Rozeman is the president and founder of Cardiovascular Consultants - a group of eleven cardiologists serving the Ark-La-Tex for over twenty years. He is past Chief of Medicine and Chief of Staff of the Willis-Knighton hospitals. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Willis-Knighton Health System and the medical director of the Minden Medical Center Heart and Vascular Center.

Dr. Rozeman has been recognized as one of the "Top Cardiologist in America" by the Consumer Research Council and recently served as chairman of the Governor's Region VII Healthcare Consortium. He was honored by the American Lung Association of Louisiana with the 2006 Louisiana "Breath of Life" Award and by the American Cancer Society with the "Distinguished Service Award".

Dr. Rozeman is founder and past president of the Alliance for Education as well as co-founder of Education's Next Horizon. Both organizations combine business, education, and community leaders dedicated to school improvement in Louisiana. For his work in education improvement, he has received several honors including Distinguished Partner in Education from the Louisiana Department of Education, Louisiana Association of Educators "Friend of Education Award", and the Blue Cross of Louisiana "Angel Award" for his efforts to improve the lives of children in Louisiana.

Dr. Rozeman has received previous recognition for community service from the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce as Business Leader of the Year and the Shreveport Times as one of the first ten "Community Leaders Who Make A Difference in the New Millennium". He has also received recognition for community service from the Louisiana State Medical Society, United Way, LSU-Shreveport, and the Shreveport Bar Association.

Dr. Rozeman has served in several other community leadership roles including membership in both the local and state Committee of 100; as well as board positions in Blueprint Louisiana, Committee of 100, Alliance for Education, LSU-Shreveport Foundation, Shreveport Medical Society, Project SB and the Strategic Action Council.

Dr. Rozeman attended medical school at LSUHSC in Shreveport where he was inducted into the AOA Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency and fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology.

He is married to Alma Pineda Rozeman for 31 years and has three children - Laura, Sarah, and Mark.
