Just Curb It
ONE CART
Now all recyclables go into the cart together! Begin using your cart on your next regular recycling day after delivery.Your weekly collection days for both garbage and recycling will stay the same. It's Recycling Made
Simple - JUST CURB IT!

SO EASY
Shreveport's new recycling program is called Single-Stream Curbside Recycling and it's as easy as taking out the trash. Just remember:
  • Do not overfill the carts. (Flatten all cardboard boxes so that the lid closes securely.)
  • Do not use plastic or paper bags to separate your recyclables.
  • There must be 3 feet of space on each side of the recycling cart.
  • Recyclable materials placed outside the cart will not be collected.
On your regular recycling collection day, place the cart at the curb the night before. The cart handle should face your house. Make sure the cart is clear of any parked vehicles, mailboxes, power lines or other obstructions.
Delivery of Shreveport's new blue recycling carts will begin Monday, June 2. By the end of July all the carts will be in place.

Due to the large numbers of carts that must be delivered, this first cycle of delivery and pick-up will be unusually lengthy. Example: For those residents who have regular Monday trash pick-up, you might receive your cart as early as June 2, but your first recycling pick-up won't be until Monday, August 18. THANK YOU for your patience.
