 Sonja Bailes
Sonja Bailes is KTBS 3's morning news anchor as well as consumer
and investigative reporter. She came to KTBS 3 in May 1995 after working for
three years at KNOE-TV in Monroe as a reporter and anchor.
Sonja is a hometown reporter who grew up in Bossier City. She graduated from
Airline High School and attended Louisiana Tech where she graduated with a
Journalism Degree in 1992.
Sonja's reporting has won her numerous awards. She's taken first place honors
from the Louisiana Associated Press for investigative reporting; named Consumer
Reporter of the year twice by the Shreveport-Bossier Better Business Bureau and
has received the Altrusa Award by the Volunteers of America. Sonja is a board
member of the Shreveport Journalism Foundation . She is married and has a little
boy.
