Dogs and cast parade around downtown

People have been parading around Shreveport left and right, but it was their pets' turn Sunday. The 2013 Mardi Gras Pet Parade kicked off at Riverview Park. Thousands joined with their loyal pets to show off costumes, throw beads and candy and just have good time. There was a registration fee to walk in the parade but all proceeds help local animal groups.
