SHREVEPORT, La. -

The latest animated film by Moonbots Studios co-founder and Oscar winner, Bill Joyce, could be golden.
DreamWorks’ “Rise of the Guardians” received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Animated Feature Film Thursday.

Joyce wrote the source material and served as a producer. The movie is based on Joyce's picture books and novels "The Guardians of Childhood" and features the voices of notable actors Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, and Jude Law.

Story-time favorites like the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, The Sandman, and Santa Claus all serve as characters in "Rise of the Guardians."

The film which opened in theaters last month is nominated in the same category as "Brave," "Frankenweenie," "Hotel Transylvania," and "Wreck-It Ralph."

The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards is scheduled to January 13, 2013, at 7p.m. on NBC.
