Twelve Caddo Schools are being recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education as being “Top Gains” Schools for the 2011-12 academic year and will receive $8,500 for showing growth.

“Tops Gains” means a school improved its state School Performance Score by or beyond a pre-determined growth target. As an incentive, each school attaining this target score will receive $8,500 from the Louisiana Department of Education for educational purposes within the school.

Caddo’s Top Gains Schools are Captain Shreve High, Cherokee Park Elementary, Claiborne Fundamental, Eden Gardens Fundamental, Caddo Middle Magnet, Herndon Magnet, Judson Fundamental, Northside Elementary, Pine Grove Elementary, Southwood High, A.C. Steere Elementary, and Midway Professional Development Center.

These twelve schools will be recognized at the Caddo Parish School Board Meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 4:30 p.m.
