One person is dead and another injured in a shooting in Lake Charles.
Witnesses tell police the incident happened about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Police received a 911 call in reference to the shooting at about 10:53 a.m.
The American Press reports police have taped off the crime scene.
Police say 23-year-old Shane Landry died at the scene as a result of a gunshot wound. The injured person, whose name was not released, was transported to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for treatment.
