The 13th Annual I-20 Challenge Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Querbes Park Golf Course in Shreveport, Louisiana. The tournament is a contest between golf teams from the cities of Shreveport and Monroe to claim the traveling I-20 Challenge Golf Tournament Trophy and bragging rights. Entry fee for the tournament is $45.00 which includes green fee, cart and lunch.
Each team in the tournament consists of 24 golfers of all skill levels. Three 2-man scramble teams each in A (5 & below hdcp), B (6-10 hdcp), C (11-15 hdcp) and D (16+ hdcp) skill levels contribute a point each to the team with a win. Golfers of all skill levels can contribute to the team win. The team with the most winning scramble teams wins the tournament. The Monroe team won the tournament last year at Chennault Park Golf Course in Monroe, to even the series at 6 wins a piece. No team has won on the other’s home course over the last 7 years.
