What a weekend for cancer treatment, prevention and research! Friday night, the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Shreveport raised $100,000. The Relay for Life in Bossier City raised $45,000. The Pros versus Joes game to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation more than doubled what it raised last year and brought in more than $12,000. The Minden Cruisin' for a Cure raised raised at least $10,000 for St. Jude. The Bayou Outdoor Supercenter Fishing for a Cure collected $18,000 for St. Jude. In all, more $185,000 was raised in the fight against cancer just this weekend in this area, and cancer survivors are grateful for your efforts.
