A Baptist minister has been arrested on charges he sent a series of threatening e-mails and text messages to members of his former congregation.

Jim Reynolds, 55, of Mansfield was booked Tuesday on charges of cyber stalking. He was released from the DeSoto Parish jail after posting bond.

Reynolds, the former pastor of Graceway Baptist Church in Carmel, is accused of sending harassing and threatening e-mails to three members of the church, some in rapid succession.

Reynolds has been involved in an ongoing dispute with church members after he was removed as pastor earlier this year, sheriff's Detective Dusty Herring said. The e-mails began last month and continued until earlier this month, Herring said.
