Third Airline Agrees To Look At Shreveport Fares

A third airline that serves Shreveport Regional Airport has agreed to look at the fares it charges in and out of here.

Continental Airlines agreed to the review today. Delta Air Lines and American Airlines agreed to do so earlier.

Members of a local task force that is reviewing airport operations, including why fares are often higher in Shreveport than area airports, held a conference call Thursday with an official from Continental.

"We made a step forward toward getting Continental to look at their fares," task force chairman John Hussey said.
