A manager on a construction project in Caddo Parish has been arrested on charges he stole more than $200,000 from the company by manipulating invoices and taking kickbacks from a subcontractor, sheriff's investigators said.

Mark Everett Williams, 38, of Bossier City, was booked on felony theft charges.

Deputies said Williams worked for McInnis Brother's Construction.

He is accused of manipulating invoices and overpaying a subcontractor for work that was either done by another contractor or never finished. Sheriff's investigators said the subcontractor allegedly involved with Williams would cash the check and split the money.

Investigators said the thefts occurred occurred over the past two years.
