Law School To Be Located In United Mercantile Building

The Louisiana College Judge Paul Pressler School of Law will be located at 509 Market Street in Shreveport.

More than $6,000,000 in donations has been gifted to the law school.

The location and major gifts were announced today.

Louisiana College, founded in 1906 by Louisiana Baptists, is a Christian, liberal arts college offering selected professional programs for undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The new law school is being named for Judge Paul Pressler, III. He served as a Justice of the Texas Court of Appeals, former district judge and member of the Texas State Legislature, and key leader of the Southern Baptist Convention. Judge Pressler currently lives in Houston, Texas.

Louisiana College's Judge Paul Pressler School of Law will be the state's first outside Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
