Radio Broadcaster Faye Fisher Dies
POSTED: 5:17 pm CDT September 2, 2010UPDATED: 6:01 pm CDT September 2, 2010Faye Fisher, the first black female radio broadcaster in Shreveport, died Thursday. She was 77.
Fisher was known to listeners as Foxy Faye.
She started her career in the 1950s on KOKA radio.
Her first show was 15 minutes long. It became so popular it was expanded to an hour.
