Emergency crews are trying to take care of a potentially dangerous situation. A small gas well has ruptured forcing an evacuation of a 1 mile radius. More than 30 homes were evacuated in the past hour. The homeowners have now been given the all clear.

The leak happened near HWY 71 and LA-Highway 514. According to State Police Troop G, the accident happened shortly after 7 tonight. Motorists are already being asked to stay clear of the area. Luckily no injuries have been reported.
