Wadley Foundation's "Bringing Hope Home" was held today in Texarkana, Texas.

It's an annual event that has raised millions of dollars for breast cancer research.

More than one thousand woman attended this year's event.

The featured speaker was ABC's Robin Roberts.

In July 2007, roberts announced to viewers on, "Good Morning America," that she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Since then, she's become an outspoken advocate for breast cancer awareness.

"It's made me more aware. I just feel more in touch with so many people are dealing with, it's a great equalizer cancer is does not discriminate, " says Roberts.

All the proceeds from this year's event will go towards the purchase of MRI breast imaging technology that is currently not available in Texarkana.
