One person is dead after an early morning accident in Marshall Texas.
It happened around 8a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of FM Road 1998 and Loop 390.
Both, th Marshall Police Department and Marshall Firefighters responded to the accident involving a log truck and a two-door passenger car.
Authorities have identified the driver of the passenger car as David Joseph Belgard, 32, or Marshall.
Police say Belgard was traveling eastbound on FM Road 1998 and attempted to cross over Loop 390 and was struck by a loaded log truck that was traveling northbound on Loop
390.
After being transported to a local hospital, Belgard succumbed to the injuries received during the collision and was pronounced dead.
The investigation into what lead to the accident continues.
