State police say an early morning crash on U.S. Highway 90 in Lafayette Parish killed one man.
The victim in Thursday's accident was identified as 28-year-old Scotty Guidry of Scott.
A state police news release said Guidry was driving a Ford Explorer west on US Highway 90.
Guidry's vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, traveled through a ditch and overturned in a canal. Guidry was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafayette Parish Coroner. The accident remains under investigation.
