Shreveport police say two men were caught in the act of burglarizing a home on the city's west side.
It happened Monday morning in the 700 block of Long Bayou Lane.
Police were called by somebody reporting two suspicious males lurking around the house where neither one lived.
When officers arrived, they say they found the back door pried open and heard noises coming from inside the home.
When more officers and a K-9 arrived, police say the two men tried to escape the scene, but didn't get too far when they quickly realized they were outnumbered.
Authorities say Ricky Mash, 18, and Demarcus Cooley, 20, surrendered peacefully.
Both men were booked into the city jail on charges of burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
