The Air Force is looking for a new kind of warrior and it's hitting cyberspace to find them.

The Air Force has started running recruiting ads touting its new cyber command, which is being set up at Barksdale Air Force Base.

The 30-second spot -- which is running on cable and satellite TV channels and You Tube -- is called "Above All" and highlights how the Air Force's cyber warriors will be on the front line in the war of the future.

"This is actually a new campaign and it's kind of new territory for the Air Force," said Air Force spokesman Keith Leibling. "We think that since 9/11, the world has changed and the fight has changed."

Shot at Barksdale's provisional cyber command with Barksdale personnel, the ad is aimed at finding both new recruits and retaining personnel already assigned to cyber defense.

Bossier City Mayor Lo Walker, a retired Air Force colonel, expects the Air Force to recruit people once thought to make unlikely warriors.

"The brain power is more important and more necessary than the physical attributes," Walker said.
