On April 4, 1968, just after 6:00pm, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was shot by a sniper at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. The motel now houses the National Civil Rights Museum which chronicles key moments of the civil rights movement. Ed Walsh sat down with Shreveport dentist Dr. C.O. Simpkins who marched beside Dr. King decades ago. KTBS 3 First News Friday, April 4, 2008.
