The flu shot is the best way to protect yourself from the flu. Everyone can benefit from the flu shot, but those most at risk from the flu include individuals 65 and over, those with diseases of the immune system or those in general ill health. However, even those in good health can have severe adverse reactions to the flu. Remember, the flu can kill. The flu shot takes very little time, is relatively painless and there is nothing in current flu shots that can give you the flu.

The American Red Cross in Shreveport is offering flu shots for $25 and pneumonia shots for $30 over the next two weeks at their office on 805 Brook Hollow Drive.

Shots will be given on Tuesday, December 11th from 10am-7pm and Tuesday, December 18th from 10am-6pm.
