Shreveport, La. -

Shreveport Police detectives have arrested one man and are searching for another in connection with a deadly shooting.

Back on September 12, 2012, patrol officers and detectives responded to a shooting that occurred in the 4000 block of Virginia Avenue. On officers arrival there, they learned that 32 year old Jason Williams had been shot numerous times while standing in the doorway of his residence. Williams was transported to LSUHSC where he was later pronounced deceased. According to on scene witnesses, the suspects responsible for the shooting fled on foot prior to the arrival of officers.

Using surveillance footage collected at the scene, authorities were able to obtain still images of multiple suspects who were present at Williams' home moments prior to the fatal shooting. The images of the subjects were broadcast to the public, which ultimately led to helping positively identify two of the three individuals shown. Subsequently, a warrant for the arrest of 20 year old Cordelro Lensy of the 2900 block of Abbie Street was signed by a Caddo Parish District Court Judge, charging him with one count of second degree murder. Contact was made with Lensy at his home in the 2900 block of Abbie Street where he was taken into custody without incident. Lensey was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a single count of second degree murder. His bond is set at 200,000.00. Authorities are still working to establish the identity of a third man shown in the photographs. Anyone with any information regarding this case is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
