Authorities have arrested a man they say is responsible for the kidnapping, sexual assault, and beating of an adult female yesterday morning.
On November 7, 2012, at approximately 11:41 a.m., Shreveport Police Officer's responded to a home in the 1400 block of Missouri Street relative to an assault and battery call. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities made contact with an adult female that had allegedly been the victim of a brutal beating, kidnapping and sexual assault at the hands of a subject that she knew. Authorities learned that the female and a male acquaintance were at a home in the 1400 block of Missouri Street when the alleged attack occurred. The woman, who after hours of allegedly being bound and raped, somehow managed to free herself and escape her captor by fleeing through a window. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital by the Shreveport Fire Department.
Sex Crimes Investigators along with Crime Scene personnel arrived on scene and launched their investigations. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the home where the alleged assault occurred and collected evidence. Authorities also spoke with witnesses who reported seeing a woman running from the home asking for help.
On November 8, 2012. Sex Crimes Detective's were contacted at Police Headquarters by 53 year old Carl L Scott of the 1400 block of Missouri Street. Scott, who was suspected in the alleged assault, was interviewed by detectives. Based on evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, Scott was arrested and charged with one count each of aggravated rape and second degree kidnapping. Clark was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
