The July 2 incident started as an altercation on the street, police said. The suspects followed a driver to Scott's Equipment, 945 N. Market St., where he was hit, police said.

An SKS assault rifle was stolen from the victim's truck, police said. One of the suspects then pointed the rifle at the victim and made threatening remarks, police said.
