Authorities: Student arrested for bringing gun to school

TEXARKANA, Ar. -

A Texarkana middle school student is in trouble with the law accused of bringing an unloaded gun on campus.
Texarkana Arkansas Police School resource officer responded to College Hill Middle School (CHMS) around 3:00p.m. Thursday.
According to authorities, an 11-year-old, white male, CHMS student, brought an unloaded small caliber handgun onto school property with the intention of showing a fellow classmate. 
Authorities tell KTBS 3 News that the juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun on school property, a class D Felony crime.
No one was injured during this incident and no ammunition was located in the juvenile’s possession.
