Authorities investigating after young child receives two broken wrists

SHREVEPORT, La. -

Shreveport Police and Child Protective Services are investigating after a 17-month-old girl is rushed to the emergency room with suspicious injuries.

Shreveport Police tell KTBS 3 News the child was taken to the Willis Knighton Pierremont, Tuesday evening, to be treated for a cold but doctors soon discovered that the child was suffering with two broken wrists.

The case remains under investigation but police confirmed that families and friends have been questioned.

So far no arrests have been made.
