A joint investigation by the Mansfield Police Department and the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of three suspects in the home invasion, robbery, and rape of a 76-year-old female.
Michael D. Campbell, 18, Ladandrick Jones, 18, and Emmanuel Bogan, 19, of Mansfield were arrested June 20, around 11:00 p.m. and charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated rape, simple robbery, and second degree battery.
Several days prior to this incident during patrol, Mansfield police had encountered one of the suspects walking through the neighborhood. Also, witness account of a reported vehicle burglary in close proximity to the Regina Street case matched the described of one of the subjects.
Further investigation developed information of the other two suspects in the case.
The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Regina Street on June 19 at approximately 10:20 p.m. when the victim arrived home. While removing items from her vehicle when she was attacked, forced into her home, and raped.
The suspects are cooperating with the investigation and have been booked in jail. Their bond has been set at 1.55 million dollars. This investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
