Bossier Parish sheriff's investigators are looking for tips that can tell them who is responsible for stealing two cars from a Bossier City auto dealership.

A four-door, blue Saturn was taken July 8 from Blakey Auto Plex on Benton Road and was returned to the lot on July 17 after being driven 2,200 miles.

A 2008 Suzuki Vivitar was taken and was recovered two days later at a dead end in nearby Greenacres subdivision, deputies said.

Neither vehicle had damage that indicated it had been "hot wired," so investigators believe the thief has ties to the business or one of its vendors and had access to a key.

Investigators believe the person who drove the cars has a small child because of handprints on the inside of the back windows.

That child is probably a girl, deputies said. A goodie bag like the kind a child would receive at a birthday party, along with a sticker with the name Abigail, were found in the Suzuki, deputies said.

A large amount of short, white hair was found in both vehicles. Investigators said they look like dog or cat hair.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Bossier Parish Sheriffs Office at 318-965-2203.
